Poland is one of the few national teams with great results at the World Championships but still needs to debut at the European Championships. 

It sounds impossible, but Poland did indeed make their first appearance at the European Championship in 2008. This means that they waited almost 50 years for their debut, during which time they managed to win two bronze medals from the World Cup in 1974 and 1982. The living legend and, for many, the greatest football player of all time in this country, Robert Lewandowski, will lead the Eagles” in his last EURO. The main problem for this team is defense. 

As per the unwritten rule, the “modest” playing staff in the back line must concede at least one goal per match, even though they have one of the best goalkeepers in Europe, Szczesny.

Austria’s dream of playing at the European Championship became a reality in 2008 when it co-hosted the tournament with Switzerland. 

Since then, they have qualified for four of the last five tournaments, a significant achievement that speaks to their recent improvements. Their most notable success to date was reaching the group stage in the last competition, where they finished ahead of Ukraine and Macedonia, only to be eliminated by Italy in the round of 16 (2:1, after extra time). This journey and their improved performance are reasons for the team and their fans to be hopeful and optimistic about their future performances.

The French football team is one of the biggest favorites for the title of European champion (if not the biggest). 

The “Tricolors” arrive in Germany with an extremely strong squad that reached the finals of the World Cup in Qatar a year and a half ago (defeat against Argentina). Didier Deschamps’ team has everything they need to win the gold, which is the primary goal of this national team. At the 17th European Championship, France will be led by the great Kylian Mbappe, and there will also be experienced striker Olivier Giroud, as well as Antoine Griezmann, Kingsley Coman, and many others who played last season in quite good shape. 

At the last European Championship, the French were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland. The World Cup in Qatar showed that they are back in the right rhythm and that they once again have the quality to conquer Europe.

The Dutch national team at the upcoming European Championship will compete in a well-known squad, which will want to return with victories after a bad placement in 2020. 

Robert Koeman inherited a talented squad from Louis van Gaal, and after they finished the World Cup in Qatar in the quarter-finals, he is confident his side will show what they can do in Germany. The Dutch national team will make their 11th appearance at the Old Continent competitions this year.

The Netherlands participated in the Euro for the first time in 1976 in Yugoslavia and immediately made history by winning the bronze medal. They are also one of the teams that is not talked about much, but they are always ready to upset the favorites. 

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk will lead this team in Germany to avoid a possible early exit after a rather demanding group they got.
