Nico Paz: BuyBack time or Selling time.
Como had excellent offers for Nico Paz, the young footballer even had the option to go to the Premier League, but he said “no” to everyone.
There is one reason – Real Madrid is waiting for him.
As the Spanish media writes, Real Madrid’s leaders have convinced Paz to stay at Como this season, because they will bring him to Madrid next summer. It was explained to him that they are counting on him, that they see him as a serious asset for the future, and that it is best for everyone that he stays at the Italian club to develop, because he will be a sure starter there, rather than going somewhere else.
Nico Paz is a Real Madrid player, but he went to Como because he thought he would get a chance there more quickly, which turned out to be true.
The Italians are willing to pay 6 million euros for 50 percent of his contract.
However, the Royal Club has several buyback clauses: this summer, bringing Paz back would cost 8 million euros, and in the next two summers, the price would increase by a million euros each.
Como tried this summer to buy out the remaining 50 percent of Paz’s contract, but Real Madrid still has bigger guys, they aren’t so naive, so the Italians’ attempt failed at the start.
And it’s not hard to guess why they tried, Tottenham was ready to pay 70 million euros to bring Nico Paz.
Como’s dream of big earnings will be nothing, the young midfielder is returning to Madrid next summer.
“The key for a young player is to play in a team whose coach believes in him, where he is given the chance to show himself. In that case, everyone benefits,” the Argentina international said recently.
“I know that Nico is very happy with us. He wants to be an elite player, and he could be,” added Cesc Fabregas, head coach and co-owner of Kom.
It is no longer a secret that Nico Pas hopes to return to Real Madrid next summer, and that he has therefore put all interested parties, including Tottenham, on standby.
Let us recall that Madrid has concluded such a contract with Como that they can return Paz for only 9,000,000 in the summer of 2026, for 10,000,000 a year later, or possibly for 11,000,000 in the summer transfer window of 2027.
If the Italians happen to sell the Argentine, Real would get half of the money from the compensation received.
But as things stand now, a return to the Bernabeu is a much more realistic option…
“Nico is taking off, and if he puts on the Real jersey, I am sure he will enjoy it”, said former Inter player and now commentator and analyst Lele Adani.
“Madrid is the best place where you can shine”.
