Real Madrid and Germany Star Tony Kroos
It was speculated for a long time that this could happen in the coming summer, then it was said that a new one-year contract with Real Madrid was in play, and now the final decision is being made:
Toni Kroos (34) hangs up his football boots right after the European Championship in his homeland!
As a 16-year-old, Toni Kroos came to Bayern Munich in 2006, and in the following October, as a 17-year-old, he made his debut against Red Star at Marakana in Belgrade.
He came on in the 81st minute with the score 2:1 for Red Star, assisted Miroslav Klose for 2:2, and then scored for 2:3 right at the finish.
That night he hinted that he is a player for great things, but few could have dreamed that he would reach the status he has today.
Kroos left Bayern in the summer of 2014 and moved to Real Madrid for “only” 25,000,000 euros. That move is considered one of the best in the 122-year history of Real Madrid and certainly one of the worst evaluations in Munich.
Then, at best years and form – he was only 24 years old – he became a pillar of the biggest club on the planet and year after year built the status of an irreplaceable member of the starting 11.
Now, when he announced his retirement, few Real players can match or be compared to him.
Because it is about an unquestionable legend and a member of one of the most successful teams of all time.
In ten years at the Santiago Bernabeu, he played 463 games, scored 28, and set up 98 goals. He spiced it all up with 22 trophies, the most important of which are four Champions League titles, five World Club Championship titles, and four Spanish championships.
With Bayern, he was also the champion of Europe and the world, and the crown of his career was the title at the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
When you add it all up, that’s a total of 33 trophies! With the fact that the final balance could be even better, because by the end of the season, a new final of the Champions League awaits him, and of course, the fight for the European crown with Germany.
And what sets him apart from the crowd of aces (especially in the last thirty years) is certainly the way he leaves.
Dignified, without haggling with Americans or Arabs for a few more dollars. Aware of his greatness and all that he has achieved, he does not want to cast a shadow over a spotless career.
Given that he played the last game in Primera, an impressive statistic was also drawn – Kroos distributed 20,672 passes during his stay in Spain, with a success rate of 94 percent. In addition to superb technical abilities, game review, calmness, discipline, ability to make quick decisions…
He always acted gracefully on the field.
In everything he did, Cross was world-class. That’s why it will be impossible to replace him. Carlo Ancelotti hoped that he could stay for another season, but he understood the decision of the German representative.
However, Real will have to try to replace him.
They have four great players for the future in midfield Tchouameni, Camaviga, Valverde, and Jude Bellingham, but after the Champions League final at Wembley – they will be without Kroos.
